The fighting is a hack slash action based battle game the player can use light attacks and evade to gain temporary deals with the heavy attacks. These endings act like triggered by the performing various actions and losing certain battles. The Nier Automata has five main endings lettered A to E and F through z. The shops are available in hub locations which allow the player to recover health. The player can complete the quests of non-playable characters(NPCs). The previous game camera shifts the third person perspective overhead area including platforming elements.
